In der Batterie bewegen sich Lithiumionen zwischen den positiven und negativen Elektroden, daher ist sie viel sicherer als Lithiumbatterien. Sie verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber entsprechende negative Elektrodenmaterialien. Im Gegensatz zu Lithium-Prim\u00e4rbatterien verwenden Prim\u00e4rbatterien haupts\u00e4chlich Lithium als zweite Elektrode. Solche Batterien verwenden im Allgemeinen fl\u00fcssigen Elektrolyten. Heutzutage basiert es haupts\u00e4chlich auf LiPF6 und LiClO4, gel\u00f6st im Elektrolyten von DMC:EC (v:v=1:1). Wenn sie klassifiziert werden sollen, k\u00f6nnen sie als Lithium-Sekund\u00e4rbatterien klassifiziert werden.
